Kindred Souls Foundation provides sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected cats and dogs of all ages, a holistic approach to their care, and education on the rewards and responsibilities of animal companionship. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, and a Washington State registered charity.
In addition to caring for our Foundation animals, we also provide outreach to the community. Since 2018, we have partnered with the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center in Pierce County. Kindred Souls Foundation provides food, supplies, and services to animals who are fleeing domestic violence situations with their devoted human companion. We stock an on-site Pet Pantry which allows the FJC advocates immediate access to needed supplies. We offer free spay/neuter vouchers to the survivor so that he/she can ensure the cat or dog is not at risk for becoming pregnant. Core vaccines are covered at the time of spay/neuter or at free vaccine clinics we offer during the year by our volunteer medical team.
This #GivingTuesday we are raising funds for emergency Safe Escape Totes for cats and dogs. The pre-assembled totes will be readily accessible at the Family Justice Center to go with the cat or dog to emergency boarding, shelter, or respite. Each tote will include $50 worth of food and supplies (i.e., collar, harness, leash, ID tag with QR code, collapsable water and food bowls, treats and a cozy blanket).
Through the generosity of Mr. Ray Wacks, 20 animals in need will also receive a spay/neuter voucher, core vaccines, and flea medication at the Northwest Spay Neuter Center when the animal is in a safe location.
If you would like to contribute to our #GivingTuesday fundraiser, you can fund a filled tote or purchase individual items that go into a tote. The individual items can be found on our Giving Tuesday Amazon Gift Registry.
